CMC Applications – Detergent, Coatings, Ceramics & Industrial Uses
Industrial CMC is a workhorse thickener and binder.
Where industrial CMC is used
In detergents it thickens and suspends; in water-based coatings it controls rheology and stability; in ceramics it binds and suspends slips and glazes; in oil-field fluids it manages viscosity and fluid loss. The property you rely on changes with the use – suspension in detergent, green strength in ceramics, salt tolerance in drilling fluids – so the grade is chosen per application. (Food, pharma and toothpaste sub-segments are handled on the dedicated pharma-food area, not here.)

This page maps each application to a detailed page. Run it in your own formulation – request a sample for a side-by-side comparison test.
Application evidence. Technical questions are answered in writing, normally within one working day. Non-standard specifications are reviewed directly with the plant, so a request gets a clear feasibility answer rather than being left open.
